200m GigaYacht 'Everest' For Sale

"Currently under construction in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Everest will be longer than two football fields.

The designer’s thoughts were to design
a yacht that would surpass all others.

There are accommodations for approximately 60 crew and 20 staff and operational staff (heli-pilots, security staff etc.) located on the forward lower decks.

Every suite will have private terraces.

There are large lounge areas and a dining room on the aft of the maind with an outside swimming pool and cinema arrangement.

Other entertaining facilities include a large gymnasium, well-being center, sauna and steam rooms.

The indoor cinema and a beach club have side folding platforms port and starboard and a large drive-in docking facility at the aft end for boats and a small submarine.

All the decks, including the sun deck are connected with a 5 deck high atrium with central staircase and 2 elevators .

The sun deck has a shaded dining area and sunning areas with a Jacuzzi tub.

Access via helicopter is possible on the topmost aft deck and also on the forward main deck which includes a platform lowering into a heli-hangar below and possibly 3 cars and associated landing craft.

And to guard against terrorists and Somali pirates, there’s even talk of equipping Gigayacht Everest with deck-launched torpedoes and SAMs: “Ship-to-Air Missiles”.

Price: $500 million"

LVMH Buys 50% Share In Chateau Cheval Blanc

"LVMH has bought a 50% stake in St-Emilion’s Château Cheval Blanc from its billionaire chairman and controlling shareholder, Bernard Arnault. However financial terms were not disclosed in the release, which pointedly failed to mention that LVMH was acquiring the Bordeaux wine from Arnault. Arnault, reputedly France’s richest man, bought Cheval-Blanc with Belgian businessman Albert Frère in 1998 for a reported €155m. The vineyard area is spread over 41 hectares, with 37 hectares planted with an unusual composition of grape varieties of 57% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot, and small parcels of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. The average annual production is 6000 cases of the Grand vin and 2500 cases of the second wine, Le Petit Cheval. The deal also includes a 50% stake in Arnault’s company La Tour du Pin, which owns another St-Emilion domaine, Château Quinault L’Enclos. LVMH said the addition of the Premier Grand Cru Classé Cheval Blanc and the Grand Cru Classé Quinault would ‘complement the LVMH portfolio of super-premium wines’. The company already dominates the Champagne market and owns a range of still wines, including Château d’Yquem, Cloudy Bay, Cape Mentelle and Terrazas."

Bentley Mulsanne

"It's not often that Bentley introduces an all-new model, especially for its flagship line. Today the Pebble Beach Concours de'Elegance, CEO Franz-Josef Paefgen unveiled the all-new Mulsanne. The Mulsanne is 11 inches longer than the Flying Spur sedan and gets an all new platform. So far Bentley is only saying that the Mulsanne will use a V8 engine, the same configuration as the outgoing Arnage. Aside from that other details will have to wait until the car is shown again next month at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The Mulsanne goes on sale about a year from now at a price yet to be revealed, although if you have to ask..."

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Sang Bleu

"Like the Pur Sang and Sang Noir editions of the fixed-roof Veyron that came before, the Sang Bleu is all about showcasing the car's bare materials. The exterior of the car is finished in polished aluminum, but the contrasting dark blue panels, rather than being painted blue, have actually had their bare carbon fiber tinted to achieve the desired effect, with special wheels painted to match. Like the quartet of individual Centenaire editions and the one-of-a-kind Bleu Centenaire that came before, the Grand Sport Sang Bleu is the only one of its kind. And while it may not be the all-new Bordeaux model we originally anticipated, for its 100th anniversary Bugatti deserves all the celebrations it wants."

Unveiled for the brand’s 125th anniversary this year, the automatic COSC-certified column- wheel chronograph with a vertical coupling clutch (to ensure a clean start of the timing hand) powers the bold new Chronomat B01 range, priced from $6,870 to $45,000.
